RESIDENCIES FOR INTERNATIONAL ARTISTS

Location: Village of Val-David in the Laurentians, 1 hour from Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

 

L'Atelier de l'île is one of Quebec's oldest printmaking studios, with nearly 50 years of existence. Its international residency program aims to stimulate exchanges between regional, national and international artists. It is aimed at artists with recognized printmaking skills who are capable of working independently. Located in the heart of the Laurentian village of Val-David, Atelier de l'île offers an enchanting natural setting in a village renowned for its active cultural life. In an ideal context to recharge your batteries and let yourself be inspired by the surroundings, the artist-in-residence will have access 7 days/week to a bright, spacious and dynamic shared workspace to carry out innovative projects.

 

If required, the expertise of our technicians, backed by many years of experience, enables us to provide professional technical support for all printing techniques at an affordable hourly rate.

Studio fees :

One week: $350 CAD Two weeks: $650 CAD One month: $1000 CAD

 

 

Lodging costs

Small private cottage with bedroom, kitchenette and small living room ( KM42 ): $550/week (low season)

 

Accommodation costs exclude: transportation, food and materials.

 

Terms of payment: 50% payable upon acceptance of file guaranteeing reservation date (non-refundable if cancelled within 30 days prior to residency)

and 50% payable upon artist's arrival.
